About Mario López

Mario López is the Founder and Managing Director of X SECURE. An executive protection specialist with over a decade in corporate and institutional security, he has led close protection and secure transportation operations for heads of state, C-suite executives, ultra-high-net-worth principals, and diplomatic missions across Latin America.

Before founding X SECURE, his career spanned protective and intelligence roles within Panamanian national security institutions and diplomatic security environments, including protective support coordinated with U.S. agencies during official visits.

His corporate security background includes international organisations such as InterContinental Hotels & Resorts (IHG), Marriott, First Quantum Minerals, and EF Education First.

Why X SECURE exists

X SECURE was founded when a group of former intelligence agents, special forces operators, and protection professionals came together under Mario López’s proposal and leadership. The premise was simple: the region needed a provider that combined the corporate standards international companies expect with genuine operational capability on the ground — not a guard company, but a precision security provider.

That founding team still defines how X SECURE works today: intelligence-led planning over reaction, discretion over visibility, and tailored strategies instead of templated solutions.
